Liebe Freund*innen,
am 16. September – eine Woche vor der Bundestagswahl – gehen wir in
Berlin gemeinsam auf die Straße. Für bedingungslose Solidarität – für
das Recht zu kommen, zu gehen und zu bleiben: We’ll come united! Zwei
Wochen vorher, am zweiten Jahrestag des „March of Hope“, wollen wir mit
einem dezentralen Aktions- und Eventwochenende unsere ganz eigene heiße
Phase des Wahlkampfs einleiten. Wir wollen richtig viele werden, so
viele wie möglich, so viele wie wir wirklich sind. Wir wollen
unübersehbar sein und das Selbstverständliche sagen, das Einige im
Moment zu vergessen scheinen: Solidarität und soziale Rechte kennen
keine Grenzen.
Hier findet Ihr unseren Aufruf und eine erste Liste von
Unterstützer*innen. Wir bitten Euch, diesen Aufruf ebenfalls zu
unterschreiben – bis zum 12. Mai mit einer E-Mail an wellcomeunited@gmail.com.
In den Tagen danach starten wir mit einem offiziellen Kick-off unserer

Wer soll unterschreiben?
Es sollen alle mitmachen, denen Solidarität und Antirassismus wichtig
sind. Egal, ob politische Gruppen, Cafés, Clubs, Willkommensinitiativen
oder Einzelpersonen: Alle sind eingeladen und aufgefordert, zu
unterschreiben und dabei zu sein.
Wer ist wir?
Wir sind eine offene Initiative von Personen aus verschiedenen sozialen,
antirassistischen und politischen Netzwerken. Hinter uns stehen keine
großen Organisationen und keine Parteien. In den nächsten Monaten wird
es für alle, die möchten, zahlreiche Gelegenheiten der Mitarbeit geben.
Was ist am 16.9. geplant?
Wir planen – gemeinsam mit dem Berliner CommUNITY-Carnival – eine große
Parade in Berlin: Demo, Zug, Karneval, Theater, Musik. Wir wollen unsere
Geschichten auf den Straßen sehen, den Ungehörten Gehör verschaffen und
unsere Forderungen in die öffentliche Debatte bringen. Der Karneval ist
ein fantasievoller Ort der Gemeinschaft gegen Rassismus, gegen die
Entrechtung und Entmenschlichung von Geflüchteten. Eine Woche vor der
Wahl gehört für uns dazu auch, auf bestimmte Symbole zu verzichten –
wie beispielsweise Parteifahnen und Nationalflaggen. In Kürze gibt es
Informationen zur aktiven Beteiligung an der Konzeption und am Tag selbst.
Was könnt Ihr tun?
Unterschreibt den Aufruf und leitet ihn weiter! Überlegt Euch was für
das die ersten beiden September-Wochen auf lokaler und regionaler Ebene:
Bahnhofshappenings, Theater, Aktionen, Filme oder Veranstaltungen –
alles ist willkommen! Und dann am 16. September: Alle nach Berlin.
Beteiligt Euch an der Mobilisierung und organisiert eine Anreise in
Konvois, Bussen oder gar „Trains of Hope“!

Dear friends,
we will take the streets on the 16th of September, one week before the
German elections – we’ll come united for unquestioning solidarity, for
the right to come, to go and to stay. Two weeks ahead, on the second
anniversary of “March of Hope”, we will begin our very own pre-election
campaign of decentralized actions and events. We are going to be many,
as many as possible, as many as we really are. We will be there,
visible, saying the evident, which some seem to forget nowadays:
Solidarity and social rights know no borders.
Here you will find our call and the list of first supporters. We
kindly ask you to sign the call – just send us an email to
wellcomeunited@gmail.com until the 12th of May.
Few days after that, we will publicly start the initiative with an
official kick-off. More infos will follow shortly.

Who should sign?
Everyone who cares about solidarity and antiracism is welcome to
participate. Political groups, cafes, clubs, welcoming initiatives or
single persons: all of you are invited to sign and to join.
Who’s calling?
We are an open initiative of people from different social, antiracist
and political networks. There are no big organizations or parties behind
this project. There will be a plenty of work to do and everyone is more
than welcome to join and work with us.
What is going to happen on the 16th of September?
Together with the CommUNITY Carnival initiative in Berlin we are
preparing a big parade. A demonstration, a procession, a carnival.
Theater, music, arts. We want to share our stories in the streets, want
to hear the unheard voices, want to introduce our perspectives and our
demands into the public debate. The carnival is a place to express unity
against racist attitudes, against objectification and de-humanization of
migrants and refugees. The parade is conceived as a platform for as many
activist groups as possible to come together — to create strong stories,
images and experiences of solidarity and hope! One week before the
election this also means for us: there will be no national flags or
party’s flags.
Want to contribute?
Sign the call and spread it! Get creative, invent some ideas for first
days of September in your area: it could be a happening at your local
rail station, a theater performance, actions, films, events – every
single thing is great, until we all hit the road to Berlin on the 16th
of September. Join the mobilization and organize your joint travel to
Berlin – in a convoy, by bus or maybe even with a “Train of Hope”…
